Chamber starts a young professionals group

Jackson, TN — The Jackson Area Chamber of Commerce has created a young professionals group called U40 to motivate those 40 and under to be successful leaders in West Tennessee.

The group will meet every other month to network, have lunch, and to receive career advice from a seasoned entrepreneur.

Robert Alderson, president and CEO of Kirkland’s, Inc., will speak about his business success and things he’s learned along the way at the group’s first event, scheduled for 11:30 a.m. Feb. 19 at the Jackson Country Club.

“The Chamber is excited about recognizing and encouraging young professionals in the Jackson area,” said Lisa Webb, manager of events for The Chamber. “We look forward to serving young professionals through this new venture and hope it will be a resource for their professional development.”

The cost to attend the event is $25 per person.

To make a reservation, contact Lisa Webb at 423-2200 or lwebb@jacksontn.com.
