No matter how long you’ve been in business or what type of business you own, you know that knowledge is power. It’s power that can help you stay ahead of your competition and keep you in business. The Chamber’s West Tennessee Business Resource Center is eager to share its power with you.

The West Tennessee Business Resource Center offers free services to any size business. Visitors can read about the latest trends in business magazines, use a copy and fax machine for business communications and access the Internet for information searches.

The Center also provides a database of company information, the Dun & Bradstreet Million Dollar Directory, how-to guides, importing/exporting material, resource books and interactive computer software.

The Chamber’s West Tennessee Business Resource Center houses the Tennessee Small Business Development Center director and volunteer businessmen providing free counseling through our Small Business Counseling Service. Word-of-mouth and the continued ability to help business owners brings in new and existing business owners each month.

The Tennessee Small Business Development Center of Jackson State Community College provides free business counseling to existing small businesses and to individuals starting small businesses.

Clients are provided information and support on how to create a business plan, why a cash flow projection is important and how to complete one, ideas on financing, what information a loan officer needs to receive from the entrepreneur when applying for a business loan, and marketing ideas for use in your business.

Counseling to a business owner that may be having problems in the areas of marketing, management, finance, accounting, technology, or other areas of business is also provided.

Training on various subjects is offered on a scheduled basis.
